Where do missing people go?

Over a month ago, a family friend, 47 years old, was with his family and calmly asked his parents for some money. They gave him $60. He told everyone he was going to the cottage. That was the last time anyone saw Bob.

Every time I ride the subway, another face is flashed across the screens installed in the stations. Today, it’s sadly the same kid who I saw on the screen last year. The people on these bulletins have usually been missing for five years or more. Is there even a point of searching for them anymore?

I always wondered how the police could not find a missing person. Perhaps they did not wish to be found, but many of the faces I saw were only kids. They could have at least sent a letter saying they were okay.

Being so close to this investigation gave me a grim look into the search for a missing person. With no transactions on bank accounts and no sightings since leaving Toronto, there were no leads for police to follow. After a month of investigation, police divers searching the waters close to the cottage and countless friends searching surrounding areas and camp areas, everyone came up empty.

The question begs: Where is his silver Honda? Where is Bob? And why can no one find him?

Modern Slavery
I would like to say people go missing for one reason. Human trafficking. International police and organizations are not doing enough...

Remains a question????
In the wold today there is human trafficking. Children especially are the victims for essential human parts which is a big business. I think the same with the old members. It is sometimes hard for the police to track this down while some how prominent people are involved who stop any progress for finding the lost people.

I agree that human trafficking exists in many places in the world, however in North American and especially in Canada, I think most of that would incoming rather than outgoing. This is what confuses me, plus the fact that from what I could see, these families and kids were all established Canadians. I could see an immigrant family forced to have their child taken away because they do not know the law or are threatened by death, but it doesn't seem to be the case for the majority of these cases. My curiosity continues.

so sad.
And its odd that a 47 year old person goes missing. I can think only of an accident or a robbery gone wrong...

I really do hope something comes up, it must be difficult not knowing.

Don't quote me but for a 47 yr old a number of things could have gone wrong...Maybe they got an accident and died and no one has recovered their body, or on a lighter note they met a woman and took off and are still romancing them somewhere where they're living together. However for the children missing it's always most probably they were abducted, raped and killed or are being trafficked like some members mentioned. Alot of bad images come to mind so i will stop there Hugh~
