Well.... after being back for over a month now, I thought it would be a good idea to post a quick update about our trip to Greece. Being there for almost three weeks, we had a really good chance to see quite a bit of Athens where we really did all the tourist type things such as going to museums, the Acropolis, etc. etc; Nafplio (southern Greece) where we went day tripping from there going to old forts, historical sites and just walking around town; and the island of Patmos for a little rest (yes, I know going on vacation usually means relaxing, but we were up early every day touring around and I'm not a morning person :P ), which is also where John (of the Bible) supposedly recited/wrote the book of revelations. We got some great access to the Monastary on the island and not being particularly religious, it was really interesting to see things that many people will never see in their lifetime. We also got to see the remains of John (or rather the casket that he is in) which was something that was simply really interesting to see.
